
The 2009/2010 season has wrapped up with 9 players graduating from the program. Warner Hockey School is proud of all the girls accomplishments and wishes them all the best in their post-secondary studies and athletics. The longest serving Warrior, Mac Purvis, will be attending Union College next year. Mac has been a member of the Warner Hockey School for 5 years and served the last season as an assistant captain. Akane Hosoyamada came to us from Banff, Alberta and was a defenseman/forward for the Warriors for 3 seasons. Akane was an assistant captain for the Warriors and will be a great addition to Syracuse University next season. Naomi Meier came to Warner from Langdon, Alberta 3 years ago and was also an assistant captain for the team last season. Naomi will be attending Mount Royal College next year. Forward Sarah Davis came to Warner 2 years ago from Paradise, Newfoundland and was team captain last season. Davis will be attending the University of Minnesota next season. Laura Pinsent came to us from Labrador City, Newfoundland and has been one of our goalies for the past 2 years. Laura is attending Middlebury, College in the fall. Lotta Haarala came to us all the way from Uurainen, Finland and has been a defenseman for the Warriors for 2 years. Lotta is attending St. Norbert University next year. Fellow Finland native Niina Makinen is also attending St. Norbert University next season. Niina is from Niemesjarvi and has been a forward for the Warriors for 2 years. Baylee Gillanders came to our program this year from Kyle, Saskatchewan. Baylee will be playing defense next year for the University of Minnesota. Our last graduate, Malin Zetterberg came to us this past year from Stockholm, Sweden. Malin is a forward and will be attending Segeltorps IF Hudlinge Academy next year. Warner Hockey School would like to congratulate all the grads on their accomplishments and thank them for all their hard work and dedication to the program.
