Team Staff

Cheryl is the new residence cook and temporary res-mom. She was born in Milk River (very near to Warner) and grew up in the Lethbridge area in a close-knit family of five children. She has two beautiful children Emily (10) and Zoltan (7). Over the past six years, Cheryl have volunteered for the Hockey School on several occasions in various capacities such as cooking for the girls, catering events, and transporting WHS girls far and near. She has been consistently been a strong and proud supporter of the Warner Girls Hockey Team either cheering them on in the stands or helping out wherever is needed. Welcome Cheryl to the Warner Hockey School staff!

Martina is the new Administrative Assistant with the Warner Hockey School. She was born in Tampere, Finland where her two older brothers and one younger sister live. Martina is studying at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences working towards achieving a Bachelor in Business Administration to become a Project Manager. As a part of her studies, Martina is required to do her practicum either in Finland or somewhere abroad, and of course her first choice was to apply to Canada! She first visited Canada eight years ago to see her uncle and aunt, Mikko and Janice, and Canada felt like a second home to her. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to do her practicum in Warner, which has been an awesome opportunity for her. Both of Martina’s brothers have played hockey and she has worked for the Finnish Ice Hockey Association for five years while studying. Martina is looking forward to working with the girls and coaches, and excited for the learning opportunities and adventures ahead of her.
